Born for a life

“BORN FOR TO LIVE” – an initiative of “MISSION – SALVATION’ ministry for realizing social work in the prisons – support and encouragement for inmates.

GOALS:

• Preaching the Gospel and being the hands of Christ for inmates
• To be able to meet those who become free and take care of them – finding a job, home and new friendships – conditions for a new beginning for life ahead.
• Starting educational, cultural and qualified activities and classes in the prison and out of the prison.
• Participation of the process of restitution of the inmates and giving support for their adaptation in the new environment.

ACTIVITIES AND RESULTS

• The prison ministry sub serves as undertakes the travel expenses to be realized meetings between kids and their fathers which are in the prison. Sometimes the kids are in orphanages.
• As a priority of “MISSION SALVATION” ministry is to take care of the first steps after the inmates are set free. Most of them don’t have any orientation in the real “outside” life. They have no documents, home and support. Keeping connection and communication with them is very important for the future. The prison ministry helps inmates finding job and giving a chance for a new beginning.
• One of important goals is realizing of educational classes for inmates. They receive diploma for cookers, bakers, electric technician etc. It helps finding easily job after they are set free.
• “MISSION SALVATION” MINISTRY is trying to meet the personal needs of inmates providing toilette accessories, phone cards, food, clothes, literature.
• The last years we’ve been equipping volunteers that have desire to serve in the prison ministry. These are young people with different interests and professional orientation but with one desire - to be hands of Jesus for the inmates. 2-3 times weekly they have personal meetings with the prisoners. New friendships give a chance for inmates to feel themselves accepted and provoked to be motivated to continue.
• In collaboration with lawyers and nonprofit organizations “MISSION SALVATION”  supports and supplies lаw consultation for the poor inmates
• Providing the literature, Bibles, audio and video materials for encouragement growing in the Christian life.
